The registered letter is a mode of transmission used for important acts in the employment relationship, notably resignation. It allows for documenting the sending and, depending on the chosen service, the receipt. It must be accompanied by content that clearly expresses the act accomplished.
Keep the exact copy of the letter with the supporting documents and verify the recipient. The registered letter does not correct ambiguous content or an expired deadline. For certain procedures, hand delivery against signature is also provided; the possibility must be verified for the concerned act, and not assumed for all procedures.
The postal receipt and the copy of the text must remain associated. An isolated proof of sending does not always indicate what has been communicated. In a termination timeline, separate the date of drafting, deposit, delivery, and receipt when they are documented.
