Registration with the Trade and Companies Register (RCS)

Registration with the RCS involves registering a company, association, or other concerned entity in the Luxembourg register with the required information and documents for its legal form. Luxembourg Business Registers organizes this process.

The applicant selects the type of entity and then provides the requested data. Preparing the file involves matching the entered information with the constitutive acts and attached documents. Depending on the case, additional mentions are necessary. An error in identity, registered office, or legal form can thus affect several documents in the file.

Registration with the register should not be confused with authorization to carry out a regulated activity. To prepare a creation, handle the necessary formalities together while distinguishing their functions: constitution, registration, publicity, and authorizations. Use the LBR instructions specific to the chosen form rather than a list of documents assumed identical for all structures.
