Judicial Conclusions

Conclusions present a party's claims and the factual and legal arguments supporting them. Depending on the procedure, they take a written form or are presented orally. They organize the reasoning submitted to the judge.

To prepare them, separate the events, documents, rules invoked, and the result requested. An accumulation of documents without explanation does not replace this presentation. When reviewing a draft with your lawyer, especially check the accuracy of facts and amounts as well as the presence of elements likely to be contested by the opponent.

A useful presentation links each claim to the supporting elements. For example, a partial payment must appear in the breakdown, even if the main disagreement remains. The objective is to allow the judge to understand exactly what is still being requested.
