Employment & Labor Law
The work organization plan, often abbreviated as POT, serves to organize and communicate the distribution of schedules within the framework provided by Luxembourg law. It must be distinguished from the record of hours actually worked: one plans the work, the other allows its realization to be observed.
To understand a discrepancy, compare the initial plan, its modifications, and the time records. Note when each change was communicated. This chronology helps examine the rules of notice and possible compensations, without automatically equating any schedule variation to overtime.
The plan thus constitutes a point of comparison, not the complete proof of time worked. A discrepancy must be dated and described: announced modification, replacement, or observed overrun. Its handling then depends on the schedule adjustment device applicable to the company.
