International Mobility
Posting to Luxembourg allows a company established abroad to temporarily send employees there within the framework of a cross-border service. The mission is carried out within the framework of the existing employment contract, with particular obligations for the employer.
The official form notably provides for a declaration to the ITM at the latest at the start of work in Luxembourg, obtaining the social badge, and appointing a reference person present in Luxembourg during the posting. The company must also examine the conditions of stay and work, social coverage, and Luxembourg rules applicable to the service.
Before starting, compile a coherent file: concerned employees, dates, location, client, and supporting documents. An ITM declaration does not replace other formalities. The country of establishment of the company and the situation of the workers influence the procedures; do not indiscriminately apply a European regime to all missions.
