Immigration
In residence procedures in Luxembourg, the expression generally refers to a person who does not benefit, by their nationality, from the regime applicable to European Union citizens and assimilated. Nationals of the EEA and Switzerland are subject to particular rules to be considered.
Nationality is distinct from the country of residence. Holding a French or Belgian residence permit does not grant the nationality of a member state and does not, by itself, authorize working or settling in Luxembourg.
